It’s interesting that he isn’t enlightened seeing as he drops out on awareness on bad days. Awareness on itself is 24 hours a day/365 days for people who have reached enlightenment. No big deal but he probably shouldn’t be teaching a direct path to enlightenment if he himself hasn’t gotten there with his methods. He’s close but hasn’t hit the threshold. Becoming a teacher too soon is of great peril to the seeker. Not a naysayer just observing the facts.

I’ve been learning to discipline my wayward mind with help from my favorite gurus, including Michael Singer. As soon as a “shaming” or accusatory voice (usually my stern, abusive mother’s) I say “No!” And remind myself that I am the opposite of that shaming, wrong-minded “information”. It gives me an immediate sense of release and has allowed me recently to forgive and remember my love and even friendship for alnd with her.Despite her recriminations she was also my creative mentor, teacher and one of the main reasons I am happy with my career choices of writer and artist. She supported me that way, read to us endlessly as small children, signed me up for art lessons at the museum and with successful local artists, and regularly visited museums and galleries together. She also taught me a love of films, classical music, politics, news and journalism, which played a large role in owning my own newspaper. My father did the same. I have come to embrace forgiveness as a way of setting myself free of my own self put-downs and letting go of both parents who died decades ago. We all deserve the peace and the space.

I had this feeling that all those people around are better than me. That i was less than, worse, worthless person than they are. I always felt i carried huge hole inside me. That there is something so bad about me that i got abused criticised abandoned and neglected as a little girl. I felt rejected and that it was my fault. Not anymore, its time to correct false beliefs . Heal and forgive. Wish you all peace and love in your lives ❤ we deserve it

1- becoming the positive affirmations. 2- place attention on something and the mind slows. 3- becoming aware of the mind independent of the witness that I am. It appears number one is willful intentional mindless identification with intentionally created thoughts. Number two is similarly willfully placing our attention upon a thought to disregard other thoughts. The third method would be the highest given it is a process where you intentionally delineate yourself from thought. The state of being where you recognize yourself as independent of thought is a big step. For me this recognition wasn't a wilful one outside of a will to have greater awareness. The occurrence of that recognition (not being thought) coincided with the reality of the notion the kingdom of heaven is inside me. It intuitively made sense realizing this. The awareness I'm seemingly living through is the same doorway that greater awareness occurs through, all the way to Para Brahman or Christhood as a couple religious organizations have coined it. Ironically waking up has nothing to do with religion. Religion is only relevant when you buy into the ideology. Ideology consists of thought which makes up beliefs and ultimately an ideology is born out of that. Recognizing we are not our thoughts and emotions is a significant step. However the recognition of this no self shall we say is actually a creation of another state of being that is illusory as well and it too will fall away given ultimately you are your thoughts and emotions and the trees and your neighbors thoughts and emotions. Perspective has to be integrated at every level upon the spectrum of greater and greater awareness until no thing is created to understand all. The Tao Te Ching is a great resource in understanding the super simple reality of what is within the mind. Thanks for another great video!

@26:15 (should be a concern that esp can't be scientifically proven). I agree with that. But, I literally saw an example of it with my own two eyes. I had to put a senior dog down. When I returned home my other dog wasn't there at the door eagerly expecting her (like coming from the groomer). I called out to him, he didn't come (even more not like him). I thought I had to go back to the vet with this other dog. I walked into the house and he was sitting in the hallway, with his back to me, looking at the spot where she always laid. I called him, and he looked over his shoulder & back at the floor. He _knew._ Everything about that was not normal. Five years later I had to put him to sleep (age). That prior experience came to my mind as we walked through the door (where I'd expected him to be that time). I told him "if there's anything out there, come back and tell me." When I came home from the vet, I'd forgotten saying that (it sounded nostalgic I guess when I said it. I wasn't watching for a "sign"). I opened that door and remembered the last time (but not what I'd said leaving) and it CREAKED amazingly loud. It never had before. I instantly thought of what I'd said on the way out. So, that last one could be more coincidental, or I was "primed" some way I didn't consciously notice (maybe the door creaked before and I didn't notice it, and I was subconsciously primed to make the connection). But, the first one was _completely_ not like that. I really saw something unexplainable. (I think the 2nd one was as valid, but I admit: who knows? But, the first one, there was _no_ way I could have had confirmation bias or anything. I saw what I saw without expecting anything other than "this will be awkward, he's expecting to maul her comig through the door..." and then he knew already.).

I am a retired nurse. During my career the concept of Health Disparity became a focus. Unfortunately the meaningful conversations that should have emerged around this issue never really took shape. These conversations would need to involve health care professionals at the highest levels such as your medical colleagues who determine the kind of health care White males will receive versus everyone else. I hope at some point Professor Hubl will address emotional numbness and its implications when it applies to powerful professional groups like physicians. Thanks for an excellent talk
